GOOD GAMES MOBILE APP

One store for every game, and the best price across platforms.

One store for every game, and the best price across platforms.

Good Games is a mobile gaming store that brings titles from multiple platforms into one app. Players can explore featured games, build a library and wishlist, check details, and compare prices across platforms before they buy. It’s for gamers who hunt across storefronts for the best deal and want one place to track, wishlist, and purchase instead of jumping between apps.

OVERVIEW

The Problem

The Problem

PC and console gamers buy across a scattered market: Steam, Epic, console stores, regional resellers, each with different prices, sales, and libraries. Finding the best price on a single title means opening several stores and comparing by hand, and keeping a wishlist across them is nearly impossible. There’s no neutral place that aggregates titles and tells you where a game is cheapest right now.

For players, that’s wasted time and money left on the table. The challenge was to design a store that unifies the catalog and makes price the thing you can actually act on.

Made price comparison the spine, not a feature. Most stores hide cross-platform pricing because it doesn’t serve them. Here it’s the reason to open the app, so it sits inside game details where the buying decision happens.

Designed for collectors, not just buyers. Library and wishlist are first-class, because serious gamers track far more than they purchase at once.

Used a dark UI deliberately. It matches gamer expectations and platform norms, and lets cover art carry the visual weight.

One of two designers on a team design challenge. We shared research, flows, and UI, and built on each other’s work rather than splitting the app in half.

The final interface uses a dark theme with a purple accent and clean Poppins type, matching gamer expectations and letting game art lead. The layout keeps a dense catalog scannable, and the price-comparison view stays readable even when stacking multiple platforms and numbers side by side.

Learnings

Designing for Better Decisions

Designing for Better Decisions

Designing around price comparison gave the app a clear purpose beyond being another game store, while placing it within the game details kept it relevant to the purchase decision. With limited time, we focused on the core experience and left important challenges, such as pricing accuracy, regional pricing, and data freshness, unexplored. If we continued the project, I’d validate whether players trust aggregated prices and design clearer trust signals, such as data freshness and source labels.
